An animation about embarking on an expedition to conquer old, linear mindsets and reach a new, regenerative way of living. Told through a story about a man going on a journey to reach a cherry tree at the top of a mountain.
Narrated by Sarah Ichioka. Submission for Student design awards 2023.

Research:
Before animating I analysed the audio transcript given by the RSA, there were themes of travelling from an old, outdated mindset to a new, regenerative way of living. This then led me to my big idea.
The book “Cradle to Cradle” has similar ideas to the transcript but it has been told through the metaphor of a cherry tree. The book describes a cherry tree to be self sustaining and regenerative.
I really liked this analogy for my animation because it simplifies the concept and makes it look less daunting for viewers.
