Client: Artisan Roast Edinburgh (2024)
Artisan Roast Coffee Roasters commissioned me to create merchandise to promote their coffee shops. I created tshirt and tote bag designs inspired by the famous Scottish Beano and Dandy Comics. The characters have mischievous and playful personalities and LOVE coffee.
The Design Process:
Research:
Before illustrating I researched into the illustration style of the Beano and Dandy comics. I noticed that the characters always had a very expressive and hand drawn look.
This led me to hand drawing the illustrations in order to keep them dynamic and playful. I created a variety of different options for the client to choose from.
